Driven By Passion

Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose.

After losing verything for the second time, I reached out to a few friends for help. One couple, Melanie and Chris Freeze, did something that changed my life. I asked them for financial help, and instead of simply giving me money, Melanie asked me one question:

"If I give you the money, what's your plan to make sure you never end up here again?"

That question stopped me in my tracks. I realized I didn't just need money. I needed a plan. I needed the right opportunities, the right guidance, and the right people around me.

That's when the idea of bridging the gap between potential and opportunity was born. I realized there are countless people with talent, passion, and potential, but without access to the opportunities, mentorship, and resources they need to move forward.

That conversation didn't just help me recover. It gave me a new purpose, and that purpose became City Vision.

Big Ideas,
Real Impact.

City Vision is a community based organization dedicated to helping people turn potential into opportunity. We believe every individual deserves access to the tools, knowledge, mentorship, and support needed to build a successful future.

Hands on training, real world experiences, and meaningful mentorship, City Vision provides workshops and educational programs in entrepreneurship, real estate, career development, home etiquette, financial literacy, music production, culinary arts, and personal development.

Through partnerships with organizations such as Job Corps and other community partners, participants gain access to career pathways in skilled trades including carpentry, electrical work, masonry, construction, and other high demand professions.

In addition to workforce development, City Vision offers Cognitive Behavioral Workshops designed to help participants develop emotional intelligence, self awareness, critical thinking, conflict resolution skills, personal accountability, and healthy decision making.

We understand that success is about more than employment. It is about developing the confidence, mindset, discipline, and life skills needed to thrive in every area of life.

Our programs combine education, mentorship, leadership development, cognitive behavioral training, workforce preparation, and community engagement to help participants become productive leaders in their homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

Our culinary arts program teaches food preparation, hospitality, kitchen operations, and the fundamentals of building a career in the food industry.

These workshops help individuals understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, giving them practical tools to navigate challenges and make positive life choices.

Over the past three years, through our work in community engagement and violence prevention, we have seen firsthand that many at risk youth are seeking positive outlets, practical skills, and opportunities to grow.

Our experience and collected data show that nearly 60% of the young people we engage are interested in hands on learning opportunities such as music, entrepreneurship, culinary arts, real estate, and skilled trades.
